Three presentations down, three finals to go!
Last week, all three of my group presentations (career, addictions and psychopharmacology, and diversity) were due. Topics included gender issues in employment--my portions of the presentations focused on women and LGBT, the Central Texas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, and the history and demographics of LGBTQQIA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans*, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual), respectively.
Over the course of the past eight weeks, I've learned a lot about problems that people face, how to advocate and help others, and I've become more educated about the various groups of people living in the United States (last night's presentation on poverty was really heartbreaking).
As a result, I've decided to share some of the interesting resources that I have found online. You will be able to find them in the navigation bar under the heading "Advocate."
