I don't even know what it is about styling and painting my nails, but it's ridiculously therapeutic. Also, I took this photo while I sat in the university parking lot before taking my second final exam. I have one more on Monday and then I'm done for the summer!

After wearing Zora again for two weeks, I wanted a lighter look. I ordered Fireworks when it was on sale after Independence Day and dabbed it over a layer of Adele.

Also, I emailed Julep about the consistency of Zora--apparently, I had a faulty batch, so they sent a replacement. It arrived within two days but I haven't tested it yet to see what the difference in texture is.

Last month, I decided to try Julep after seeing several people on Instagram and Pinterest post about their awesome monthly Maven boxes and the nail polishes they received. Plus, I knew I'd finally be able to make time to paint my nails every week again, so if I only had to shell out a few dollars for two new colors, a hand scrub, and a cute emery board and nail polish remover pad, then why not?

Well, Julep did not disappoint.

Why, yes, as a matter of fact that is Shooter with his tail in his mouth.

This is Julep's Zora, which I received in the free Classic with a Twist box (if you use "FREEBOX," you only have to pay a few bucks for shipping on your first box). I thought it was going to look more pink than it actually does on my nails, but since I'm not ready to pull off a trendy white manicure, this shade is perfect. The only downside is that it seems a bit goopy; I've yet to figure out if that's a Zora thing, a Julep thing, or an I-don't-know-what-I'm-doing thing.
