one today

I recently discovered Google's One Today app, which allows you to choose a category of causes:

• animals,
• environment,
• health,
• civil rights & liberties,
• poverty,
• arts & culture,
• crime,
• governance,
• economy & employment,
• education,
• food,
• housing,
• infrastructure,
• science & research, or
• sports & leisure.

The app then highlights three different organizations each day that pertain to your general category; I chose civil rights & liberties. You can read some background information on each cause, click through to find out more on the causes' websites, or choose to donate $1 or match another donor's $1.

I really like the app because it shows what your dollar is going toward and it's great to know that even a dollar can help make a difference. Here are some of the causes that I've supported; I wanted to share them in case they interest you, too.
